Once in the park, you can only drive a few miles in with your own vehicle. To go farther you must take a tour bus in. This is the first summer we felt brave enough to drag the kids along on a 6-8 hour round-trip bus ride. They did great and we were all rewarded with clear views of the mountain and wildlife sightings (dall sheep, caribou, and a wolf).
