Aiden: resident artist/musician and budding theologian

Aiden started taking the cello this year. He also spends every spare moment drawing or painting. Other times he tortures us with thought provoking theological questions:

"If God is our father and we are his children, why doesn't he have a wife?"

or

"You know how God's power came from his word? Like he said 'Let there be light' and there was light. I thought it would come from his hands." (often Star Wars gets mixed into his theological thinking...like the time he was talking about Adam and Eve pre-fall and how they had the power to rule the galaxy.)

Elinor is fascinated with death and dying.

She often asks, "When we gonna die? It's taking too long!"

or

I will tell her, "Elinor, don't wear dad's boots down the stairs! You will trip and fall."

"...and die?"

Augustine: showing signs of premature male baldness

I gave Augy his first buzz cut because his head and hair were starting to look diseased.

Much better. A nice respectable high and tight cut.
He's only 4 1/2 months old but handled the clippers beautifully.

Eric: senior pastor of Bethel Church!!!
Eric and Pastor Paul completed the year long transition this January. The members voted to approve the transition and make Eric the senior pastor with about a 97% approval. I am excited for Eric and very proud of him. I am in awe of Pastor Paul in making a switch that many senior pastors would be unwilling to do. We look forward to many years to come in Alaska and will have to find ways to appease our sad families...
